White Diamond Rouge Polishing compound is a tallow and petroleum based polishing compound designed to minimize any last scratches towards your final mirror polish. It is part two of the four stages of metal polishing. Although called white diamond, this compound does not contain diamond and its name comes from its white color. It is used in the final polishing stages for precious metals such as gold, silver, etc. and for non-precious metals, such as copper and brass.
Polishing metal is involved in several stages of cutting and polishing. The first stage is removing or cutting metal that has nicks, scratches or dents. The second is polishing which is the final stages and contains finer abrasives towards your final polish.
