Foredom Carbide Bur, Inverted Cone
This shape is a must have for carving away extra metal. You can file until the cows come home, but a good cylinder square carbide bit is an an amazing tool. It rips through extra metal, after soldering heavy wire onto sheet to acquire a flush finish. Good eye protection and face mask are a must. Carbide burs with standard and cross cut flutes are used for easy material removal and leave a smooth finish.
These burs are ideal for use on hard wood and most metals including stainless steel, steel alloys, cast iron, etc. Can only be used with H.30General handpiece.
Cross cut flutes produce finer chips and leave and smooth finish but are not as aggressive as standard flutes. 1/8" shank.
Max speed rating for 1/8" diameter carbides is 100,000 rpm
Max speed rating for 1/4" diameter carbides is 35,000 rpm
