Offering high torque at ALL speeds,  TX  motors are Foredom’s most powerful flex-shaft machines with 1/3 HP. They have permanent magnet DC motors that feature the latest in flex-shaft technology. These ball bearing models utilize advanced rare earth magnets (in place of the wound fields in our universal type SR motors) that deliver more torque at the lower speed and throughout the entire speed range of 500 to 15,000 RPM, and come with standard 39" long flexible shafts and sheaths for connecting to any of Foredom's 20+ "Quick Disconnect" handpieces.

These motors are available in 115 Volt, only.

The TX is a hang-up style version of the Series TX motor. If you set stones or need to bear down on metal, wood or plastic, this is the flex-shaft for you. It's beefy, quiet, delivers strength where you need it most, and comes supplied with Foredom's standard shaft and sheath. No other flex-shaft gives you greater control of the cutting tool, drill, or bur under any load.

The SXR foot-operated control included in this combination is a solid state control in a heavy cast-iron housing for added precision and stability on the floor.

Foredom’s permanent magnet motors require the use of a TXR, SXR, or EMX control. Damage will result if the motor is connected to any other model control.

There is two year warranty on 1/3 HP Series TX Motors and Controls.
